Just read the numbers:

Unemployment in the United States of America: 7.6%

Number of jobs lost in January 2009: 598,000 (One month in 2009 caused a .4% in the unemployment rate increase - 7.2% going into January 2009).

Percentage of Hispanic/Latin unemployed, nationally: 9.7%

Percentage of Blacks/African-Americans unemployed, nationally: 12.6%

Toyota is looking at a $3.85 BILLION NET LOSS in 2008.

3.6 MILLION JOBS LOST since December 2007.

Today, 2-6-09, 200,000 California State workers are FORCED to take an UNPAID day off of work.

$700 BILLION Bailout has not worked so far, with only half of the money sent to the financial institutions.

2nd Great Depression here we come...

Are there any Black leaders in Springfield?

The silence is deafening in Springfield. Not 1 Black male or female who has any type of stature in the Black community in Springfield, MA has said one word about the burning of Macedonia Church nor has anyone said anything now that the three white children have been arrested and released.

So, I will ask again: Are there any Black leaders in Springfield?

The "dumb kid" this "cave" girl is referring to is Louis Jiles. He was unlawfully shot in the summer of 2008. I guess some white people havent crawled out of their European caves yet. The young man, Mr. Jiles, was not armed. He did not pose any threat to the constable, so there would be no need for a "funeral" . If you believe he "evaded" the constables just because the constables said he "evaded" them, you are beyond foolish. The quote above also shows that most whites value the life of an officer more than a Black young male.

So once again, all the racist posters and commenters on Masslive.com should kill themselves.

900 arrests in 720 hours, 30 days.

In June we were 15% "safer", according to "Crime Statistics" (Although rape was up 61%, at the time, and domestic violence had also risen.)

October 2008, no 2nd or 3rd quarter "Crime Statistics" released.

Walker Bush couldn't add this math up.

FFA: Act 3, Scene III

Mayor Sarno and Police Commissioner Fitchet are the heads of the FFA but a new, not necessarily fresh, class is rising, manifested by James Ferrera III. Last week, Ferrera suggested a "spending freeze".

In my opinion: Ferrera's probably not qualified to be City Clerk, let alone City Council Vice President. Instead of not spending money, how about coming up with an IDEA to MAKE money. Seems simple, right? Not quite. A company who actually wants to build something here, is being met with opposition in regards to traffic, access and parking. Who has been reporting on this "new" phenomenon? I can't wait to see if this man has a history of seizures or if it was convenient for police to say this was a seizure to cover their tracks now.

Tammany Hall 2008

I can only relate the "fair" greed and thievery of Wall St. to a political machine of the late 19th and 20th century, Tammany Hall. I don't know NYC very well but these two places can't physically be too far from each other because mentally they are on the same page: accumulate wealth and power by any means necessary.

The last picture indicates the exact phenomenon that is happening today. Capitalists and politicians, alike, are pointing the finger at one another for problems they created, neglected, or were ignorant of. There are conservatives and liberals on Wall St. There are Democrats, Republicans and Independents on Wall St. What they all have in common though, is that while your money vanishes in the system they created, they still get paid.
