Is it just me or is every blog dedicated to Western Mass filled with pictures and videos? In one particular Western Mass blog, who I won't name but you can do the research yourself if you please, two days of entries included 20 pictures and 2 videos with few words. I can tell you that most of my posts will not have pictures. I try to keep them as short as possible so it doesn't get too lengthy but "If a picture is worth 1,000 words", why not cash in at least 250 of those words and describe the picture yourself? Of course, there are many occasions where only the picture will do but I'm the kind of "blogger" who is going to use 95% words. Words are the medium.
